Siamo nel 1994 quando il duo pop inglese Everything but the Girl scrive e incide “Missing“, diventata la canzone di maggior successo e sicuramente la più conosciuta del gruppo, principalmente grazie al remix di Todd Terry.
Il duo affidò il brano al produttore di musica house appunto per remixarlo. Il risultato fu una versione dance di Missing, che diventò una hit in tutto il mondo, permettendo agli Everything but the Girl di arrivare ai vertici delle classifiche di numerosi paesi, compresa l’Italia dove raggiunse la prima posizione vincendo anche il Disco d’Oro.
